DOS BBS

[xendrome]

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share my BBS, DOS BBS (dosbbs.com). It's running on the ATDT BBS platform.

I've got a growing collection of classic door games, including LORD, TradeWars 2002, Usurper, Planets: TEOS, The Pit, and several others.

Usurper is a total DOS rewrite to PHP from original source code and a number of fixes applied by Ariel.

I've also been working on some custom doors:

• NewsWire (latest US and World News)
  WeatherWire (Local and Tropical Weather)
SpaceTerminal (IIS location, launches and space weather)
IceChatNX (imagine IceChat) for paging and chatting with the SysOp

Some of these are available to download for anyone running their own ATDT board, I'll be posting others as well as I complete them. The board also has an achievement ladder called UserRank that awards XP and badges. As part of the project I also have a BBS Museum which contains detailed articles with the history of the BBS from the beginning up to the current landscape.

I'm always tinkering with the system, adding things, and trying to keep a little piece of the BBS era alive. If you're looking something stable, no additional software required, clean interface feel free to stop by and check it out.

I am in this for the long haul and it's professionally hosted, so your not going to find a dead dynamic DNS forward or the board disappear one day.
